This page serves to introduce the main characters of the different Heartsplit Narratives. # The Prophets ## Remi de Lupin Age: 19-29 Pronouns: He/They Type: Kitagi/Psecho The adopted son of Fang and Iron de Lupin, who are powerful figures in the underworld of Brume. Set to inherit the kingdom so to speak, Remi tries to run away with his closest friend and lover, Sacha, who was also Remi's Heirrier. For this transgression, Sacha is executed by Fang in front of Remi. Planning revenge, Remi bides his time for the next few years until he finally has another chance to escape. He runs away to seek out a legendary Wight mercenary to help him avenge Sacha's death. ![[Main Character Profiles-1783289678527.png|228]] ## Howie McArthur Age: 127+ Pronouns: He/Him (+She/Her later in the story!) Type: Human/Wight Born on Gaia, in the misty and wet regions of the Eastern coast of Eysle, at a time of great economic upheaval and famine, Howie was raised by hardship. His parents, poor farmers, eventually sold him to a roaming missionary from the Ashen Chapel, who took him to a convent and boarding school to be raised in the Church. While here, Howie began to have questions about his sexuality, but was unable to ever safely explore or talk about this. Even less so when Margaret, the daughter of the Dean of the school, decided that Howie was the one for her. The two were married and had a few children. Eventually, Howie crossed unfortunate paths with Rhys of Sunless Daze, who offered him a way out. A hundred years later, Howie is a Wight and unable to die. He works for Mama at the Speaklow Speakeasy in Brume and specializes in killings. He travels between Brume and Gaia semi-frequently, often working contracts for Skylark's own criminal enterprises. When Remi shows up on Gaia requesting his services for a high profile assassination, Howie's inclined to refuse. But he won't have a way out of this entanglement quite so easily. ![[Main Character Profiles-1783289749062.png|326]] ## Skylark Von Adler Age: 35-45 Pronouns: She/Her Type: Human A former child actor and model, Skylark has a past that is both right in front of anyone who goes looking and hopelessly obscured from even the most prying eyes. She now runs a long-reaching criminal network that deals in information, drugs-dealing, and killing or ransoms. She's known to be a cold and devising woman who isn't afraid to get her hands dirty. She's known Howie for years, since before she transitioned. Their long history does not seem to give her a soft spot for him, though. Despite being fully human, she's usually the one that is most capable under pressure or in circumstances that have gone wrong. ![[Main Character Profiles-1783289631209.png|418]] ## Wicker Age: 5000+ Pronouns: He/Him Type: Ambagi The last Ambagi, a closely kept secret that nearly none know. Capable of powerful magic even beyond the Viceroys and Governails, and prone to getting sick or developing allergies to just about anything, Wicker is a real basket case. He is knowledgeable about most anything, from magic to history to injury, but rarely speaks at a pace or cadence that lends itself well to being understood by most. He behaves in ways that often seem erratic, counterintuitive, or both, and has a penchant for substance use. Wicker lies often, and rarely lets on how much he can actually be trusted or relied upon. However, he has an evident soft spot for children, and is fiercely protective of Mimzy from the start. He often finds reasons to agree with their enemies, sometimes leading others to wonder whose side he is actually on. Wicker also seems to harbor a far more complex and bloody path than he will admit.
